Artist Statement: The Source of This Series of Works
Nature is a vessel that restores comfort, and a medium through which I converse with my inner self.
Whether it’s rolling hills dotted with villages, irises in full bloom at the botanical garden, or forest clearings framed by flowering trees, I seek to embrace all these scenes with soft brushstrokes. There is no rigid perspective, no contrived composition—only pigments flowing freely across textured sand paper.
Standing before a placid stretch of water calms every inner turmoil. All self-imposed shackles of “ought to” and “must do” fall away, leaving only ease and freedom, alongside the vital force that grows without restraint.
Collectively, these paintings narrate a journey: embraced by nature, we need not conform to any predefined identity. We simply get to be ourselves—stained pink by cherry blossoms, cleansed clear by running streams.
